Beloved UW-Madison Bar Opening New Location at a Rival College...And Badgers Aren't Happy

It's official - Kollege Klub is moving to Minnesota!

The official Instagram account of Kollege Klub - a popular sports bar in Madison Wisconsin open since 1953 - recently announced a new location is to be opening at U of M. According to the post, the new location will be located at  4th Street Southeast and 13th Avenue Southeast.

Kollege Klub is something of a Madison tradition. It's a slice of history among Madison's rich bar culture and the popular State Street. Today, it's one of the college town's hottest spots to drink, socialize, and cheer for your Wisconsin team. Even the original logo depicts a proud Wisconsin "W". 

So, it's no surprised that some UW students are a little disappointed, even a little... badgered... when they found out they had to share a piece of their beloved history with a rival.

Either way, for the most part, the response to the KK's big news shows that even though we share a strong midwestern drinking culture, Badgers and Gophers will never get along!
